Issue 45: Friday Updates, 11/16/18

Grants.gov Maintenance Outage

The weekend of November 17/18th Grants.gov will be undergoing routine, scheduled maintenance. During this time you will not be able to search for or retrieve Grants.gov opportunities from the S2S tab in the Proposal Development module. If you’ve already retrieved an opportunity from the S2S tab you will be able to use the system as you normally would.  The maintenance window is as follows:

Scheduled Maintenance Outage:
Production Environment will go Offline Saturday November 17, 2018 at 12:01 AM ET.
Production Environment will go Online Monday November 19, 2018 at 6:00 AM ET.

Change to Late Notifications

In July the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) changed the late notification procedure to sending reminder emails the day before a proposal would be considered late. When this change was made we neglected to remove the word “late” from the subject of the notification email. This reference has now been removed. Here is an example of what the subject line now looks like:

Subject: Proposal Development 34961 - Notification of Upcoming Deadline

New Validation Error for S2S Submissions

A new validation error for System-to-System (S2S) submissions has been added to KC. The validation checks to see if the date entered in the Sponsor Deadline Date field is beyond the Closing Date that is pulled in with the S2S opportunity. The error message is as follows:

The Sponsor Deadline Date entered on the Proposal tab is later than the Closing Date listed in the S2S tab for the selected Grants.gov opportunity. Please confirm that you have entered the correct Sponsor Deadline Date and have selected the correct Grants.gov opportunity. Please contact your OSP Proposal Team if you need assistance with determining the correct Grants.gov opportunity.

As a reminder, error messages must be cleared before a Proposal Development document can be put into route.
