COVID-19: Information from SPA/OSP/CGA

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), Contract and Grant Administration (CGA), and Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) will be observing an extended holiday break from Friday, December 24, 2021 through Monday, January 3, 2022. OSP/CGA/SPA staff will not be working during this time and actions requiring our involvement (e.g. proposals, RPPRS, etc.) need to be submitted to the appropriate office by 8:00 a.m. on December 23rd.

The closeout of a restricted (RC) or unrestricted (RG) sponsored program award finalizes the MSU project account and closes it in the university financial system. The process is initiated by CGA after the project period end date. The CGA group responsible for the closeout of your account is dependent on whether sponsor funds were received by submitting invoices or if funding was drawn from a payment system, also known as letter of credit (LOC).
